About this Story

An epic winter hiking adventure in Central Oregon's high desert leads our subject to the beautiful summit of Smith Rock. During the adventure, our subject carries an American flag through the trails overlooking the desert, the frozen river, and the surroundings below. We see him cross traverse a steep incline, jump over gaps in the rock, and finally reach the top and wave the flag in celebration.
