Granite Peaks

About this Story

Oregon's Wallowa and Elkhorn Mountains are one of the state's 7 wonders. Most of these shots are of the Elkhorns - radiating out from Anthony Lake. Originally volcanic islands in the time of the dinosaurs - the Elkhorns hold some of the oldest rocks in Oregon - and they look different! These granitic* (looks like granite but different chemicals) mountains evoke the Rockies more than the Cascades. See stunning milky way night timelapse - including the Andromeda galaxy. Gorgeous wildfire colored sunsets. Bright streams, splashing water, and glowing ponderosa pine forests. Gorgeous smooth pans and jib crane shots. Timelapse, time-lapse, time lapse, Wallowas
