Filmmaker Statement
I chose filmmaking because it's the most dynamic way to express myself. I used to write, but after looking at one of my short stories, I realized that a movie of it would be even better. With this initial motivation, I started making videos. As I made videos with my friends, I saw how much fun it was, how it brought us all together. Why would I walk away from a feeling like that? I love being behind the camera and now I'm looking for an opportunity to tell stories. I want to make them as creative and as beautiful as possible. I want people to say, "This will be good. Robert Ruiz shot this."

Love
It wakes me up and it pushes me to keep going even when I feel demotivated.
