Change. Everything changes constantly, nothing stays the same. Filmmaking is timeless in its story telling capacity. Paradox. Life is a mystery and film is the unsurpassed medium for purveying the magic of life in a way that is so captivating, in a way that we love so much that we willing suspend our disbelief and BELIEVE so heartedly that we feel the experience as if we are living it . Humor. My favorite is dark humor, the real gritty kind. But any humor helps to break us from what seems like life's fixed grip. Film reaches into us in a way that we break from our selves.
