Ever since I was a child, I knew I was interested in the arts. It wasn't until I picked up a camcorder for the first time however, that I knew what I really loved more than anything in the world. Back then, I had no idea what filmmaking consisted of, all I knew was that you could create an endless possibility of stories, and capture them forever. It was the joy of creating these films, the friendships that were made due to collaboration in an artform, and the audiences' amazing reactions to such simple films, that made me continue my pursuit to become a filmmaker. As I grew older, and eventually attended film school, I found that I honestly loved every step of the filmmaking process.
Collaboration is a beautiful thing. The fact that we as filmmakers can all come together and put our minds into a single video is amazing.
Once completed, the best part for me is witnessing how our art and our stories have impacted the viewer. Their reaction can mean so much.
Endless possibilities of creating something new and different keeps me motivated. My filmmaking idols drive me to become the best I can be.
