I have been a commercial photographer for years and filmmaking came second. I started grabbing small clips of video with the first wave of DSLRs during my still shoots. I only did it for fun but when I would give the footage to editors they told me that I had an interesting perspective and to keep pushing myself in video. I started to see that video could bring more artistic collaboration with friends while also being a way to tell the broader story of the subject I was capturing. My mind has shifted to thinking about how to tell stories in a full edit to give the maximum punch while remaining poetic and sticking to my natural photographic aesthetic.

A natural space
Lose the talent and give me an everyday person in their natural environment. I love crafting stories amid real people and spaces.
Drop me anywhere in nature. The difference each day brings in sounds, unexpected viewpoints, wind, clouds, etc makes a new story to be told.
Video and music have a symbiotic relationship. My brain tunes in a live score while shooting that changes the way I film.
