I believe that people identify with films more than other media. For whatever reason, people trust what they hear and see on a screen; if done well, the stories feel more real and less contrived. Filmmaking connects people with ideas, places, and other people. The aesthetic elements also have a sense of authenticity to them. Filmmakers possess a versatile toolkit to powerfully tell stories through their own voices. I love sifting through this creative process- though it can be incredibly challenging at times. There's also a myriad of opportunities for personal growth and improvement within the discipline.

Potential for Change
Knowing there's a gap between what something is and what it could be; having the opportunity and challenge to make a positive impact.
The best stories are often authentic, open, and vulnerable. I want to capture stories of people who relentlessly pursue their passions.
They encourage me to take risks, help foster my growth, model generosity, share their story, show me what's possible, and provide community.
